I've been here many times and every single time the chicken has been great. I don't even care to leave reviews anymore at places, but this place deserves more love
I finally hit up Chicken Troopers in Norwalk and it was solid. I got the C.T. Special, Yuzu half chicken, BBQ half chicken, and Rooster Fries. the C.T. Special was fire--crispy outside, juicy inside, and just enough spice. the Yuzu chicken had this fresh citrusy vibe, zesty, and the sauces are all yummy. The Rooster Fries tho, addictive af. Crispy and perfectly seasoned. Plus, there's plenty of street parking, so no stress there. overall, it was legit and I'd totally come back Service is always good, cashiers and runners are always attentive and have great personalities.
As you guys know, I really love eating KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Last night, I decided to try Chicken Troopers, located across the street from Coffee Code in Norwalk. Food: Ordered half size fried chicken with special sauce (C.T sweet and spicy with fresh white onion and cilantro). Got with cheese stick and soda. I took a bite of the chicken. Very different than any other Korean chicken shop I've been to. It got a pretty good kick to it. Spicy, but hella delicious. Half size fried chicken is more than enough for me to eat. Service: Employees here are so nice. They do check up and see how's the food was. Overall: I will be back to try some more stuff here. 5 stars!!!
The food was amazing! The service was excellent! The vibes of the restaurant were family friendly. The moment I walked in I got hit with a delicious smell of vibrant flavors. Came here for lunch during work and I was jn and out within 45 minutes as I took my time to savor the flavors. 10/10 and I'll be coming back!
so good Best spot for lunch my favorite is the Chicken tender Ceaser salad Employees are very Nice
So happy I finally tired this spot! The woman at the counter warmly welcomed us as soon as we walked in, and was helpful to answer my questions. I ordered the CT Chicken Sandwich. The chicken is made to order, so it will take a few minutes longer than ordering at fast food. The quality of the sandwich is why this place has 5 stars. The sandwich is huge! Chicken portion is generous! Bread was tasty, fresh and fluffy. But the chicken really stole the show- so crispy (but not hard) on the outside, and hot & juicy on the inside. And that delicious coleslaw that comes on the sandwich, really tied the flavors all together! Def will be coming back again! Parking: few stalls in front of the business, as well as a bigger parking area behind the building. Also, I took note that the restaurant was clean.
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING These are the best wings I've ever had. The depth of flavor these wings deliver are unmatched. Starts with the sweet and savory sauce with a hot crispy coating of that Korean batter, then comes the juicy succulent chicken right behind it. Dipped in the ranch or the coleslaw to cool off in. You have to check this place out. Great service behind the counter and clean and friendly atmosphere. IM COMING BACK.
Late post on this. Stopped by for work-lunch and was feening for some KFC(KoreanFriedChicken). Review is just on their Kimchi Chicken Sandwich. Gaaawdaawm was not expecting it ti be this good. This place is not a chain from what I understand, and there are literally hundreds of other Spicy Chimkin sando spots. This is legit on my Top 5. It was super fresh hot out the fryer. The kimcho and Jaw-la-puh-nose put it on a whole nubba-level. Have not tried other items but will def come back to try the stews and some of their fries. Place is small, with designated small parking, but street parking is available near by. Counter person was nice and they take their time so order ahead and avoid the 15 min wait.
A Norwalk/562 gem that has taken me forever to finally try. I wish I ate here sooner. The small bites were crispy, fresh and tasty. The egg rolls were light and veggie filling was vibrant. The cheese sticks were crunchy with a gooey cheese pull. The French fries were simple, fried and salted up nice. The Kimchi Chicken Sandwich was enormous: dark meat chicken was juicy and breading held up nice to the sweet chili sauce and topped with fresh lettuce, pickled jalapeƱos and pickles on a chewy pretzel bun. The ensemble all came together nicely. The star of the show: The Nuclear Fire Chicken with chewy rice cakes and melted cheese was great balls of fire good. Deadly heat on the tongue with a sweet finish that had you wanting more. Highly Satisfied!
This place is great from the moment you walk in, till the moment you walk out. The food is made to order, the service is A1, super helpful and friendly. Very clean environment. You need to try this place, maybe more than once.
